That means that you don’t need to use Outlook.com’s webmail service! You can access your mail and send messages through different email programs (like mainspring, Outlook Express, Apple Mail, and Mozilla Thunderbird). Using desktop email programs can help you streamline your workflow. They provide more options, and your email remains accessible from your computer even when you’re off the internet.

How do you establish Outlook IMAP Settings?

After setting up and activating the Solveyourissue mail service, you can configure an account for your POP or IMAP account for an email in Outlook 2016. Outlook 2019, as well as Outlook 365.

For easy webmail access, you can always use https://webmail.yourdomain.tld if you’re on a shared plan (replace your domain. tld with your actual domain) https://mail.papamail.net/ if you use basic or advanced email service.

These steps will allow you to either automatically or manually alter the Outlook IMAP settings or POP email settings.

Automatic account creation

When you first launch Outlook and open it, you’ll be greeted with the welcome screen, which looks like this:

  1.  Select Next to start.  

2. If you’ve previously set up Outlook to work with Outlook, select to open the “File” tab on the right side of the screen.

3. Press the “Add Account” button in the Information area.

4. In the Add an Email Account wizard, you’ll be asked. Do you want to set up Outlook to link to an existing email account? Select that the radio button next to Yes is selected, and then select Next.

5. Within the Auto Account Setup panel, type in the following information:

  •  Your Name: Enter the name you’d like to use in your emails.  
  •  Email Address Your complete email address.  
  •  Password: Your email account password.  
  •  Retype Password: Enter your email account password again.  

6. Click Next. Outlook will now try to find the email server information and establish account access.

Manually create POP3 and IMAP email accounts.

  1.  If the server you are trying to connect with cannot be located, ensure the email address you entered is correct. If not, try again. You can enter your server’s details manually by choosing manual setup or other types of servers. Then click next.  
  2.  Outlook supports the standard POP3/IMAP email accounts. Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft 365 accounts and webmail accounts, including Outlook.com, Hotmail, iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, and many more. For Solveyourissue email services, select POP or IMAP.  

3. Select the radio icon next to IMAP or POP. After that, click Next to start the configuration of your email account. You’ll need the email server’s information, including username, password, and username, in your possession.

  1. Input the following information:
  •  Your Name Enter Your name as the email sender you’d prefer to see in your emails.  
  •  Email address Your complete email address.  
  •  The type of account Select the drop-down menu for selecting IMAP or POP3.  
  •  Mail server for inbound messages: You can use mail for POP and IMAP accounts—your domain. And if you’re on a shared service (replace your domain.tld using your real name) and mail.papamail.net if you use Basic or Advanced Email.  
  •  The mail server you use for outgoing (SMTP): For POP or IMAP accounts, you can use mail.yourdomain. And if you’re on a sharing service (replace your domain.tld by your real name) and mail.papamail.net if you use Advanced/Basic Email services.  
  •  User Name: Your email account username.  
  •  Password: Your email account password.  
  1. Input the following information:
  •  For the incoming server, Check that you have set the default port to 995 for POP accounts and 993 for IMAP accounts. Select the checkbox next to this server to require a secured connection (SSL).  
  •  Outgoing Server (SMTP): Change the default port (25) to 465 for POP or IMAP accounts. Choose the drop-down menu next to Choose the secured connectivity to choose SSL.  

Go on the switch to the Incoming Server Tab. Check the box on the right side of my server for outgoing (SMTP) must be authenticated. Then press on the radio next to use the identical settings as my incoming mail server.

Select “OK” to close the Internet email settings window. Select the test account settings… button to verify that Outlook can connect via your mail server on the POP and IMAP Account Settings window.

If the test fails, repeat the steps you took, ensuring that the details of your account and server are correct.

When the test is completed successfully When the test has been completed successfully, select next, after which click End to wrap up.
